Texans General Manager Nick Caserio in big trouble

Texans General Manager Nick Caserio Is Not Concerned About Stefon Diggs’ Image

General manager of the Houston Texans, Nick Caserio, explained why the team traded for Stefon Diggs during the offseason.

Throughout the course of the offseason, the Houston Texans significantly improved. They made it very apparent that they are prepared to compete for a Super Bowl. After first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans and rookie quarterback CJ Stroud guided the team to a 10-7 record and playoff triumph the previous season, this was always the expected course for Texans general manager Nick Caserio.
Rather than allowing the previous season to be a whimsical Cinderella tale, Caserio and the Texans are taking advantage of Stroud’s rise to prominence in the league. Houston added standout wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Texans’ already talented position group by trading for him, believing that it makes the most sense for him to compete while still on his rookie-scale contract.

Caserio clarified that the team did investigate Diggs’ alleged problems as a teammate and in the media over the previous few years during his interview on the Pat McAfee Show.
