Tennessee Titans cut DL Shakel Brown

Shakel Brown, a defensive lineman, was waived by the Titans on Tuesday, the team reported.

After being hurt in the team’s preseason game against the Bears, Brown was placed on injured reserve for the entirety of the previous campaign.

In May of last year, as an undrafted free agent, he signed with the Titans.

Brown had been participating in the team’s offseason training, but on Monday, defensive lineman Marlon Davidson was re-signed by the Titans.
For Troy, Brown played in 29 games over three seasons (2020–22), including five starts. Throughout his career, he racked up 58 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one pass defensed, and two fumble recoveries.

NASHVILLE: Shakel Brown, a defensive lineman, was waived by the Titans on Tuesday.

Brown was signed by the Titans as an undrafted free agent in May of last year. He was hurt in the team’s August preseason game against the Bears, and he spent the whole previous season on hurt Reserve.

He had been participating in the team’s offseason training in the last few weeks.

Over the course of three seasons (2020–22), Brown played in 29 games (five of which were starts), with 58 career tackles, eight tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one pass defensed, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. Prior to Troy, he previously attended Itawamba Community College and, as a freshman, Highlands Community College.

The Titans re-signed defensive lineman Marlon Davidson on Monday.
