Reports: Qadir Ismail, Qadry Ismail’s Son, Receives Invitation to Rookie Tryout

Qadry Ismail, a former wide receiver for the Ravens, will be very interested in this week’s rookie minicamp.

According to the Ismail family and the Samford athletic department, his son Qadir Ismail has received an invitation to camp for tryouts.
It seems sense that his father is overjoyed that his kid will have a chance to play for the Ravens.
Qadir continued to shift to wide receiver in 2023, racking up 11 catches for 114 yards at Samford. At Villanova, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound former football and basketball player from Bel Air, Maryland, started his collegiate career as a quarterback. In 2021, he switched to wide receiver and hauled in 11 catches for 181 yards before grad school transfer to Samford.

In addition to spending three seasons (1999–2001) with the Ravens (1999–2001), his father played ten NFL seasons for five different teams. In 2000, he was a member of the franchise’s inaugural Super Bowl-winning squad. That championship year, Ismail caught 74 catches for 1,059 yards and seven scores, which was his finest NFL season.
