Once again, former Lions defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs is being held without bond.

Isaiah Buggs, a defensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs and a former member of the Detroit Lions, was taken into custody this past weekend on suspicion of second-degree burglary and domestic abuse. Monday saw his release, but he might return soon.

This offseason, Buggs has been detained twice already. Police first filed a second-degree animal cruelty allegation against Buggs in May after discovering two mistreated and abandoned pets at his house. Eventually, one of the dogs was put to death. Buggs brought himself in on May 30 and was freed after posting bail.

Since one of the terms of the bond was that he not commit any new crimes, AL.com reports that the case’s prosecutors have now withdrawn Buggs’ bond from the animal cruelty allegations. The county district court granted the request on Monday and mandated Buggs’ detention without bond. As of the time this article was published, Buggs had not been scheduled back.

As of right now, the only information available to the public regarding Buggs’ most recent incident is that Tuscaloosa police responded to a 911 call at 5:28 a.m. Early on Sunday morning

According to AL.com, the case’s prosecutors have now withdrew Buggs’ bond from the charges of animal cruelty since one of the conditions of the bond was that he not commit any new offenses. On Monday, the county district judge approved the request and ordered Buggs to remain in custody without posting bond. As of the publication of this article, Buggs was not slated to return.
