BBC NEWS: THE SCORPIONS ANNOUNCE 2025 EUROPEAN SUMMER SOLO TOUR

In a thrilling announcement for rock enthusiasts across Europe, legendary German rock band Scorpions have officially unveiled their highly anticipated 2025 European Summer Solo Tour. Set to ignite the continent with their electrifying performances, the tour promises to be an unforgettable experience for both longtime fans and new generations of rock lovers.

A Grand Return to the Stage

Following the success of their global ‘Rock Believer’ tour, Scorpions are now gearing up for a more intimate, Europe-exclusive run that will see them performing across 15 countries. The tour, which kicks off on June 10, 2025, in Hamburg, Germany, will span three months, covering major cities such as Paris, London, Rome, Madrid, and Prague before culminating in a grand finale in their hometown of Hanover on September 15, 2025.

Frontman Klaus Meine expressed his excitement, stating, “Europe has always been home to us, and after traveling the world, it feels right to dedicate a tour solely to our incredible European fans. This is going to be special, filled with surprises, nostalgia, and of course, loud and powerful rock ‘n’ roll!”

Setlist & Special Surprises

The band has teased a diverse setlist featuring their greatest hits, including classics like “Wind of Change”, “Rock You Like a Hurricane”, “Still Loving You”, and “Big City Nights”. However, longtime Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs hinted at surprises in store, possibly including deep cuts from their early albums and new, unreleased material.

“We are always evolving,” Jabs revealed in an interview. “This tour will celebrate our legacy but also introduce fresh elements that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.”

A Solo Tour with a Fresh Dynamic

Unlike previous tours, this summer’s concerts will feature Scorpions as the sole headliners, without support acts. The band aims to deliver an immersive experience with extended sets, state-of-the-art visuals, and an enhanced stage production tailored for each venue.

Rudolf Schenker, the band’s iconic guitarist, added, “This will allow us to connect deeply with our audience, taking them on a musical journey through the decades. From our early hard rock roots to our ballad anthems, it’s all about the pure Scorpions energy.”

A Timeless Legacy

Since their formation in 1965, Scorpions have sold over 100 million records worldwide, earning their place among rock’s most enduring and influential bands. Their ability to adapt while staying true to their signature sound has allowed them to remain relevant across generations.

Their previous tours have been met with sold-out arenas and critical acclaim, and anticipation for the 2025 European Summer Solo Tour is at an all-time high.

“This is a thank you to our European fans,” Klaus Meine concluded. “We can’t wait to see you all, to sing together, to rock together, and to make memories that will last a lifetime.”
