Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced a global streaming event titled ‘Live In Paris’, capturing the final performance of their ‘Wild God Tour’ at the Accor Arena in Paris on November 17, 2024. This tour marked their first headline journey across the UK and Europe since 2017, spanning 27 shows across 17 countries.
The ‘Wild God Tour’ was launched in support of their album ‘Wild God’, released on August 30, 2024. The album was recorded at Miraval Studios in Provence and Soundtree Studios in London, marking the band’s 18th collaboration. It features contributions from Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood on bass and Luis Almau on guitar, with production by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, and mixing by David Fridmann.
Reflecting on the album, Cave expressed enthusiasm about performing the new material live, stating, “I never think about how a record is going to go live… But, when I listen to ‘Wild God’ now, I think we can really do something epic with these songs live.”
The tour’s final show in Paris received notable attention, including from Bob Dylan, who attended the performance. Dylan shared his thoughts on social media, highlighting the song ‘Joy’ and reflecting, “I was thinking to myself, yeah that’s about right.”
