BREAKING: Disney announce replacement for Aerosmith on legendary Rock ‘N’ Rollercoaster.

Disney has announced a significant transformation for the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios, replacing its Aerosmith theme with a new Muppets-based storyline. This marks the first-ever Disney thrill ride to feature The Muppets, bringing their beloved humor and characters to the forefront. The revamped attraction will center on The Muppets, led by Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, hosting an exciting rock music festival, blending the high-speed thrills of the roller coaster with the group’s comedic charm.

The new theme comes as Disney retires the Aerosmith branding, in line with its recent trend of moving away from celebrity-based attractions toward intellectual properties it owns. This also coincides with the closure of the Muppet*Vision 3D show to make way for a Monsters, Inc.-themed land, ensuring that The Muppets remain a significant presence in the park. Guests can expect an updated pre-show, fresh music tracks, and plenty of laughs during the ride experience.

Disney promises the reimagined attraction will retain the thrill level fans have loved since the coaster’s debut in 1999 while adding unique Muppets-themed merchandise to complement the experience. Although an opening date has not been announced, the current version of the ride will remain operational for a time, giving fans one last chance to enjoy the Aerosmith experience before renovations begin.

This shift represents Disney’s ongoing strategy to integrate its beloved characters into iconic park attractions, ensuring their relevance for new generations of visitors.
