The CEO of Wigan Warriors acknowledges the ‘challenges’ confronting English rugby league.

He has orchestrated and facilitated the landmark game in Las Vegas between Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves, showcasing his significant influence.

While this game could greatly benefit the Super League, it’s worth questioning whether it should fall to one club’s CEO to elevate the entire competition, especially when sports marketing agency IMG is being paid to “strategically reposition the sport to maximize its commercial potential for long-term growth, build deeper relationships with fans, and attract new audiences.” Possibly not.

Radlinski previously characterized IMG’s efforts as “slow progress,” but he has now discussed the current state of the game in England during his appearance on BBC Sports’ 5 Live Rugby League podcast.
