New York Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh

Aaron Rodgers is being criticized by the former coach of the New York Jets, who believes he will fire Robert Saleh and himself.

Eric Mangini, the former head coach of the New York Jets, has joined the group of those in NFL circles who disapprove of Aaron Rodgers.

During a recent appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd on Fox Sports 1, Mangini, the head coach of the Jets from 2006 to 2008, blasted Aaron Rodgers. He reiterated many of the criticisms aimed at the 40-year-old quarterback in the past and called him out for skipping mandatory minicamp in order to travel to Egypt, according to reports.

He was the one who stressed the significance of minimizing distraction, which is what’s sad about that circumstance, Mangini said.
It was he who would emphasize the value of concentrating solely on football. and anything he says during the press conference. And then there’s this case where he doesn’t make it to the required minicamp; I understand that he attended the volunteer portion, and I think that’s fantastic. However, when mandatory minicamp is, it’s no secret.

Mangini reiterated that despite what Rodgers says he believes — his now-infamous press conference in which he said “bulls—” that doesn’t have to do with winning has to get out of the building — his actions indicate otherwise.

“So it does it matter, in the grand scheme of things, in terms of him missing those two days is going to dramatically change how he performs, or the other group performs? No, but it’s more indicative of all the noise that’s brought into the building that’s so unnecessary and distracts from everything else that they’re trying to get.”

The former Bill Belichick disciple rightly pointed out that if the Jets don’t succeed this year, it’s more than likely that Rodgers, head coach Robert Saleh, and general manager Joe Douglas are all going to be without a job.

“And at the end of the day, if he doesn’t win this year – he’s gone. The coaching staff is gone. And the Jets are starting – probably the GM is gone. Everybody’s starting over.”
