L’Jarius Sneed Is a ‘Bully,’ Claims Ex-Kansas City Chiefs Teammate
After playing four years with the Kansas City Chiefs, cornerback L’Jarius Sneed will now play for the Tennessee Titans for the upcoming season. Even if that’s the case, safety Justin Reid still called his former teammate a bully during their time playing together.
The Chiefs selected cornerback Sneed in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. After converting him to cornerback during training camp, he made an immediate impact, recording an interception in his professional debut against the Houston Texans
Sneed’s rookie season was interrupted by a collarbone injury, but he returned to contribute in the playoffs, recording a sack against the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills. In 2022, Sneed played a key role in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVII victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, recording seven tackles and two pass breakups.
Sneed continued his strong play in 2023, with a crucial forced fumble in the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens that helped send the Chiefs to Super Bowl LVIII. There, he won his second Super Bowl championship as the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
Despite his success, the Chiefs traded Sneed to the Titans in March 2024, receiving a 2025 third-round pick and a seventh-round swap. Sneed then signed a four-year, $76.4 million contract with Tennessee, cementing his status as one of the league’s top young cornerbacks.
Kansas City Chiefs Safety Justin Reid Says L’Jarius Sneed Is a Bully
Just recently, safety Justin Reid appeared in an interview for Green Light with Chris Long. In it, he shared an anecdote about Sneed and why he called him a bully.
Reid: Sneed is a bully. Yeah, he’s a straight-up bully.
Long: What’s the worst you ever saw Sneed bully somebody out there?
Reid: Aside from the Tyreek one? I mean, we were playing the Jets and Garrett Wilson didn’t get off the line of scrimmage. He quick-jammed him and literally ran him into the defensive line. He didn’t get one yard up the field and then he pushed him over to the ground.
At this point in time, Sneed’s talents will now be fully utilized by the Titans. It remains to be seen how he’ll fare when Tennessee meets the Chiefs when the new season starts.
