NFL Rumors: Dallas Cowboys Coach Is “Fed Up” With Jerry Jones

Mike McCarthy is set to begin the last season of his contract after serving as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys for the previous four years. The problem is that he and Jerry Jones don’t really get along, and he claims to be tired of the team owner.

He was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers from 2006 to 2018, when he joined the Cowboys in 2020. During that time, the team won Super Bowl XLV. As an NFL head coach, McCarthy has a lifetime regular season record of 167-102-2. He is one of the few who have guided a single team to eight consecutive postseason berths.

He was an offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers before to taking on head coaching positions. In addition, he had a number of coaching roles with the University of Pittsburgh and the Kansas City Chiefs.
With a 12-5 record in 2023, the Cowboys won the NFC East division for the first time since 2021. Despite having a potent offense and defense, they were defeated by the Packers in the Wild Card stage of the playoffs.

McCarthy is currently growing weary of Jones and his purported interference with his work. Sources revealed in a tweet from JPA Football on X claim that the Dallas head coach  has had enough.

Jones is renowned for his hands-on coaching style, which caused former head coach Jimmy Johnson to resign following the team’s 1993 Super Bowl victory. Even though the Cowboys won another Super Bowl in 1995, they haven’t been able to reclaim their previous level of success since Johnson left.
It’s unclear how things will pan out in Dallas or whether McCarthy can perform at his highest level under Jones’ supervision. Either way, the Cowboys need to improve quickly to forget about their poor season-ending performance.
