Before he was sidelined by an injury during the previous season, Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was among the NFL’s most attractive rookies.

Among the rookie leaders at the time, the 24-year-old had 47 receptions for 709 yards and seven touchdowns before sustaining a fractured fibula in Week 13 that would sideline him for the rest of the season.

Despite taking part in Houston’s offseason exercises, Dell’s recent injuries have left many unsure about whether he would be able to play at the same level this season.

He thinks he will improve.

Naturally, most second-year players would anticipate that, but Dell is aware of the uniqueness of what the Texans are creating.

The team signed a number of important players this offseason, including edge rusher Danielle Hunter, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, and running back Joe Mixon.

Diggs’ arrival does give a little bit of competition to the wide receiver group, as he joins players such as Nico Collins, Robert Woods, Noah Brown, and John Metchie III.

But Dell is thinking about winning a title.

“We’re ready,” Dell continued. “Everyone is thrilled. We are aware that someone is pursuing us. We have a long list of goals to achieve, including winning the Super Bowl and making it to the playoffs. Thus, we’re prepared to get to work.

Dell should perform better than he did in the previous season if he can maintain his fitness throughout the 2024 campaign, but fans shouldn’t anticipate any spectacular results because there are a number of playmakers who want to be fed frequently.
