Isaiah Buggs, a former football player for Alabama, was arrested once more in Tuscaloosa.

WBRC TUSCALOOSA, AL – Isaiah Buggs, the former football player for Alabama, was arrested once more on Sunday in Tuscaloosa, according to documents from the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Officer Stephanie Taylor reports that at 5:28 a.m., TDP responded to a 911 call in the 1600 Block of Mimosa Park. On suspicion of second-degree assault and second-degree domestic abuse, Buggs was taken into custody right away.

He was taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where he is being held with a $5,000 bond and under a 24-hour domestic abuse hold.

Buggs was previously booked on charges of animal cruelty in May after two malnourished dogs were found at a rental place in Tuscaloosa after he had had moved out. One of the animals had to be euthanized. Buggs turned himself in to the Tuscaloosa police before bonding out a short time later.

According to court documents, investigators claim that Buggs was in arrears on the rent for the house by over $3,100 and that he received a notice of termination in April. Buggs refuted the accusations, claiming he had no ownership of the dogs and that he was not aware they were inside the house.

TSCO announced Buggs’ arrest on Sunday, but they haven’t provided any other details.

Officer Taylor states the court records should be accessible on Monday.
